Aromatic Reed Diffuser Favors with Personalized Label

Next in our series of personalized favor reviews are our aromatic reed diffusers. This is one of the latest additions to our personalized product category and has already become quite popular with our customers. What makes these favors great, among other things, is their price.

If you’re already a fan of reed diffusers you know that they can cost upwards of $40 for some of the most expensive premium versions found in many stores. Pricing varies greatly on reed diffusers depending on several factors including their size, scent and design. The most important pricing factor though is brand name and as with many other products this isn’t necessarily an attribute that should figure into your buying decision. In most cases brand name products are just more expensive versions of the exact same item which means you end up paying a premium for the name itself.

Our personalized reed diffusers are a fraction of the price of just about all store brands but the quality of the product itself is just as good. There are some differences of note however, the most important being size. When shopping for a reed diffuser make sure you check the size of the bottle and quantity of scented oil contained within. Our reed diffusers are much smaller than the typical diffuser sizes and contain 30ml of oil which is how we were able to keep the price so low.

We believe that this size makes a lot more sense as a wedding favors though. Larger diffusers are very bulky and heavy which makes them extremely expensive to ship and prone to breakage. They would also be a pain for your guests to lug home. Though we were forced to keep the size smaller than usual the diffusers are beautifully designed and come with a free matching personalized label; a feature that isn’t included in even the most expensive designer label diffusers.

There are several manufacturers we work with who carry their own version of this product but our staff pick is EOS Global Imports. Sure the company name leaves much to be desired but you’re not buying the name. You’re buying the product and theirs is simply the best. They offer the most extensive design library available and feature three card back designs as well.

On that note we should probably point out that none of the personalized playing cards we carry have the back of each individual card personalized. Rather it’s a personalized label, which ships separately, that must be affixed to the exterior packaging.

We’re always surprised when a customer asks this question. Especially after they’ve already received the order and they call to say that this was not what they had expected. If you do a little research you’ll find that there are companies out there that offer this as an option but they charge over $20 per deck in some cases. That’s more than ten times the cost of the cards we carry and way beyond anyones favor budget so we don’t carry them at all. Besides, trust us, your guests won’t want your event date and the bride and grooms names on the back of each of their cards anyway. That type of personalization doesn’t make a lot of sense. Personalization is a great extra touch but it’s better to limit it to the exterior packaging so that the product itself remains appealing and useful.

Music and Your Wedding Reception

Lots of newlyweds get so tied up in all the planning that goes along with setting up their wedding that they end up with a monotonous DJ who doesn’t meet their standards or a band that doesn’t appeal to all of their guests.  A great way to avoid making your perfect day merely almost-perfect simply because of a lackluster playlist is to follow the music of your heart.

first danceMix it up! If you’re not having a themed wedding, you’ll want to mix up the music, and although you may enjoy it, you don’t want your grandparents listening to hip hop all evening. Jot down a list of songs from different genres (not a LAUNDRY list) for when you consult with your DJ or band beforehand. This will give them the chance to decipher whether or not the music will they are planning to play for your reception will be suit your needs and make him aware of the type of crowd you will be entertaining. Select the romantic wedding songs that you’d like to play from classics such as “Because You Loved Me” and ”Unforgettable”  from The Definitive Wedding CD.

Research! Check your DJs references. You won’t be happy when you realize that your friend-referred DJ doubles as an impromptu comedian and starts picking on your guests, or even worse, he brings half of his equipment to your very special occasion. Professional disc jockeys are usually listed under the AJDA (American Disc Jockey Association)and the organization will provide for you imperative information about the DJ of your choice’s membership.  Be sure that you meet with him beforehand, and do not merely speak with him over the phone! Ensure that your DJ has liability insurance in case one of your guests is injured by their equipment.

Make it a Band! Whether or not you’re throwing a themed wedding, give your guests a spectacular twist with a professional band instead of a DJ. Consult with the band just as you would with the DJ, to tell them the songs you’d like to be played for your guests as well as the instrumentation you’d like to be highlighted.
