The Food Network is one of our favorite television shows here at Favor Warehouse, and a few members of our team absolutely love to try out new recipes and foods. With shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Top Chef, cooking has become “cool” again. If you or your husband-to-be is a budding chef or has taken it up as your profession, it’s only natural that show off your culinary expertise by whipping up delicious wedding favors!
The week before your wedding is going to be quite busy, so you’ll want to identify a food that won’t take too long to create, and simple enough for your wedding party to help you with. Pastry items, such as heavenly peanut-butter brownies or majestic macadamia cookies, are preferred and hold up the best.
Step 1: After selecting your recipe, use a word processing program to print the recipe and directions, and print out enough for your wedding guests. Include you and your husband’s name on the recipe, along with your wedding date.
Step 2: Ask your wedding party to help you in whipping up your tasty treats. Turn on some music, mix a few refreshing beverages, and lay out all the ingredients. Keep it organized by assigning members of your wedding party to various tasks in an assembly line fashion, such as the person to add butter to the mix, the person who pours the mix into the muffin cups, etc. And most of all – keep the mood light and fun. If someone decides to fling flour around, go with it!
Step 3: Allow the treats to cool. Once cooled, simply stash them into one of our pretty Wedding Favor Boxes and secure the recipe you printed out with Satin Ribbon to match your wedding colors. Voila! You can choose either to place them at each guest’s place setting or simply have a basket and a place card asking your guests to please take one.
Your wedding guests will be so impressed by the delicious wedding favors you created! Of course, if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by those last minute wedding details, we do have a great selection of Edible Wedding Favors for your guests. Here’s to one delicious wedding!
